  • How long does it take to register a company?

  • What steps do I need to take after registering my company.

  • Do I need a local director?

    For most businesses it is not necessary to have a Myanmar citizen as a director. Every company registered in Myanmar is required to have a resident director, this means that they need to reside in Myanmar 183 days per year.

  • Is there a minimum share capital?

    No there is no minimum share capital. Every company must have at least one share.

    Shares can be issued for funds which the investor injects into the company, but can also be issued for non-cash contributions, such as transferring machines and land to the company or for providing services.

  • What documents do I need to register my company?

    To register your new company, you will need to have the following information handy:

    For Directors: Full name, full residential address as well as the date and place of birth of each person. We will need copies of passports and NRC cards.

    For Shareholders: Full name, address and number of shares for each shareholder of the company.

    General Information: The address of the registered office and principal place of business.

  • Do I need a company secretary?
