The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has just issued notification 24/2021 on 8 March 2021, their latest import regulations for the import of vehicles by car showrooms. This is an annual occurrence with the MOC updating the import requirements every year.

The Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has issued Notification No.8/2021 on 20 Jan 2021 (Notification) specifying the conditions for the import of reconditioned machines. The Notification applies to the import by small and medium sized businesses, it does not clarify what this would mean for other businesses. Key conditions of the import being approved are that they must be in working condition, they must include a 10 year seller warranty and that spare parts must readily be available. A pre-shipment inspection certificate must be included which has been issued less than 6 months prior to shipping.
